Beatriz Ball
The roots of the Beatriz Ball Collection began in 1991, when Beatriz Ball began working hand-in-hand with skilled metalware artisans in the outskirts of Mexico City, jointly creating updated, innovative designs in a special lustrous alloy of many metals. Many of those skilled metalworkers are still with the Beatriz Ball foundry in Mexico.
Their pieces are made entirely by hand, one at a time, using the ancient art of sand casting: pouring a premium quality alloy of molten aluminum into sand molds, and then going through four levels of polishing. More than twelve different sets of hands are involved in the creation of each piece, and the result of this intensely handmade process is a piece with a depth of character, warmth and personality that communicates in a way only a handmade piece can.
We believe that each piece in the Beatriz Ball collection speaks for itself, unfolding a story of the creativity of the artists who designed it and the skill of the craftsmen who manufactured it.
